N.J. to Launch Statewide Foreclosure Database

New Jersey is on track to create a tracking system of all houses under foreclosure across the state. So reports Newark’s WBGO.

The database initiative, signed into law late last month by Gov. Phil Murphy, aims to compile information that can help officials fight the state’s foreclosure crisis. New Jersey has the nation’s highest foreclosure rate as of May, according to RealtyTrac data, with one in every 1,117 homes under foreclosure.
