Manafort’s Mortgage Fraud Dismissal Appealed to N.Y. High Court

Mortgage fraud charges against President Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort are rearing their head once again. So reports NBC News.

!--more-->The Manhattan district attorney’s office has asked the state’s top judge for permission to fight an appeals court’s October decision upholding the case’s dismissal.

A trial court judge ruled last December that the charges were too similar to the federal case that put Manafort in prison. State charges could be particularly significant in case of a potential presidential pardon for Manafort’s federal conviction.
