Existing Home Sales Slip in September

Last month’s numbers for home sales came in lower than economists were anticipating amid a lack of affordable housing supply. So reports Reuters.

!--more-->U.S. existing home sales dropped 2.2% in September to a seasonally adjusted 5.38 million units, from an upwardly revised August rate of 5.50 million units. Economists surveyed by Reuters had predicted a pace of 5.45 million units.

The median existing home price rose 5.9% in September for the fastest monthly growth since January 2018.
