Roofing Exec May Lose Boat Over Alleged COVID-19 Scam

Federal authorities have added mortgage fraud to the list of charges against Florida roofing executive Casey David Crowther, already indicted for allegedly misusing coronavirus relief funds. So reports Business Observer.

Crowther, president of Target Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc., was previously charged with taking a $2 million loan under the federal Payroll Protection Program and buying a 40-foot catamaran with a portion of the proceeds.

The indictment alleges that boat, real property and the amount of the original loan are subject to forfeiture.
