Quicken Loans Files for IPO as Rocket Companies

Quicken Loans has filed for an initial public offering under the name Rocket Companies. So reports the Detroit Free Press.

According to a preliminary application with the SEC, founder Dan Gilbert would remain in control of Rocket Companies after going public.

Quicken originated more than $145 billion in mortgages last year, most of it refinance activity, according to the application.
