Mortgage Broker Fined for Attacking Clients on Yelp

A California mortgage broker will have to pay up after allegedly posting sensitive information about his clients in retaliation for their negative reviews of his business on Yelp. So reports CBS News.

The Federal Trade Commission has announced that it settled with Ramon Walker, whose business is called Mortgage Solutions, as well as Mount Diablo Lending, for $120,000.

The FTC accused Walker of disclosing the first and last names, credit histories and other financial and personal details of consumers who found fault with him on Yelp, a crowd-sourced business directory and review site.
