Illinois Mortgage Pros Indicted in $3M Mortgage Scheme

In Illinois, two mortgage professionals are among those indicted for allegedly participating in a mortgage scam that bilked financial institutions out of at least $3 million. So reports The Chicago Sun-Times.

Loan originator Agnieszka Siekowski and loan processor Aldona Bobrowicz, along with real estate developer Andrzej Lajewski and home remodeler Andrzej Bukowski, face multiple counts of fraud.

The U.S. Attorney’s office of Chicago alleged that the scam, involving properties on the city’s South Side, took place from 2010 to 2016.
