Home Prices Rise Slightly in June

Price growth for homes in 20 U.S. cities decelerated in June. So reports the Associated Press.

The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller index of property values increased 2.1% in June from a year earlier, following a 2.4% gain the prior month.

Philip Murphy of S&P Dow Jones Indices said that while values have “clearly cooled off from 2018,” they keep rising modestly. He added, “therefore, it is likely that current rates of change will be generally sustained barring an economic downturn.”
