Concerns about affordable housing were the leading theme in remarks by policymakers from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Federal Housing Finance Agency and Freddie Mac at the MBA CREF 23 Conference and Expo. So reports GlobeSt.com.

HUD Julia Gordon, HUD’s Assistant Secretary for Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner, noted that supply and affordability challenges go beyond the lowest income groups: “We have seen the news that about half of the renters in this country have rents that are now unaffordable.”
