Home Point Lays Off More Than 100 Workers After Sale

Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Home Point Capital has revealed that it is shedding most of its jobs in the state after The Loan Store Inc. bought the lender’s wholesale mortgage origination arm. So reports The Detroit News.

Homepoint2 150x150Home Point said in an April 11 Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification letter that it was laying off “approximately 113” workers at three Ann Arbor offices, effective immediately.

Headcount at the lender, which does business as Homepoint, had been 100 in Michigan and 500 overall.
