Regina Lowry, First Woman to Chair MBA, Dead at 68

Regina Lowrie, who in 2005 became the first woman to be elected chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association, has died unexpectedly at age 68, according to the organization.

Regina LowrieIn Lowrie’s almost four decades of real estate industry experience, she was CEO of Dytrix, a fintech that helps in financial transactions for institutions, and also CEO of RML Investments, an advisory firm that specializes in mortgage banking clients.

MBA CEO Robert Broeksmit offered condolences to Lowrie’s friends, colleagues, and family, saying, “Her tenacity, resilience, and fierce advocacy for our industry will long be remembered by all those fortunate enough to have interacted with her.”
