When asked “Do you believe that you will ever own your own home in the future?”, a striking 18% said "no." There were nearly 2,000 millennial survey respondents, ages 27 to 42.
Among roughly 1,300 Gen Z respondents, ages 18 to 26, the share was still a sizable 12%. The survey was based on U.S. residents who either moved in the last year, plan to move in the next year, or rent their home.
