More Investors Are Crashing the Fix-and-Flip Party

Pension funds, private equity firms, individual punters and other investors are buying single-family homes, renting or flipping them in a quest for yield. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

JPMorganAccording to John Burns Real Estate Consulting, 200-plus companies and investment firms have hit the housing search, including Opendoor Technologies, JPMorgan, BlackRock, Fundrise, Roofstock and LGI Homes.

The attention from the investor class is driving up home prices amid an era of historically low mortgage rates.
