Evictions Likely to Go Forward After Supreme Court Order

With the Supreme Court’s recent ruling striking down the Biden administration’s federal eviction moratorium, evictions that have been postponed in many regions will probably move ahead. So reports Bloomberg.

supreme court 544218 640small 300x300The biggest landlords may benefit most: According to new data from Princeton University’s Eviction Lab, the bulk of eviction filings during the pandemic have been filed by a small group of large apartment building owners.

The pandemic has hit landlords of all sizes, of course, and industry leaders such as Doug Bibby, president of the National Multifamily Housing Council, and Bob Pinnegar, president and CEO for the National Apartment Association, told Bloomberg that concerns about a flood of evictions were overdone.
