United Shore Tackles Rocket Mortgage with Super Bowl Ad

United Shore Financial hits Rocket Mortgage, the recently named “official mortgage sponsor” of the Super Bowl, with the force of a charging linebacker in a newly revealed Super Bowl commercial of its own. So reports The Detroit News.

-more--> “Playing with rockets is great when you’re a kid,” a narrator says in the ad, which aired during the NFL championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. “But when it’s time to get a mortgage, you quickly realize a rocket is complicated and expensive.”

The ad shows a kid on a rocket with a skateboard strapped to his back, and then an exasperated grown-up on a smartphone.

United Shore’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial promotes its FindAMortageBroker.com website and seems sure to fuel the rivalry between the Pontiac, Michigan-based company’s United Wholesale Mortgage business and Detroit-based Rocket Mortgage owner Quicken Loans.
