Home Loan Forbearance Rate Falls to Two-Month Low

Fewer homeowners have been skipping their mortgage payments lately, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. So reports MarketWatch.

According to the MBA, just 7.8% of U.S. mortgage loans were in forbearance as of July 12, the lowest level in more than two months. That represents 3.9 million homeowners.

The share of mortgages in forbearance has fallen for five straight weeks, according to the MBA.
