Wells Fargo Must Face Predatory Lending Suit, Judge Rules

A federal judge has denied Wells Fargo’s request to dismiss a predatory lending complaint filed by three counties in Georgia. So reports National Mortgage Professional.

wells fargo 150x150The lawsuit under the Fair Housing Act claims that Wells Fargo engaged in discriminatory mortgage practices against minorities.

While Wells Fargo argued that the counties’ amended lawsuit ran afoul of the statute of limitations, U.S. District Court Judge Michael Brown said the complaint mentioned 10 loans within the appropriate time frame.
