Mortgage Fraud Lands Atlanta Real Estate Agent in Prison

An Atlanta-area real estate agent has been sentenced to prison for his role in a $21 million mortgage scam, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia has announced.

jail 1287943 1280According to authorities, Eric Hill of Tyrone, Ga., was sentenced to two years and six months in prison after pleading guilty in September 2020.

Several others have also been sentenced for their participation in the scheme.
