Man Sentenced to Prison in $9M Mortgage Scam

A federal judge has handed down a sentence of 18 months in prison to a man for his part in a $9 million mortgage scam. So reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Scam road sign 464653 1920 600x424Joseph Gonzalez of Henderson, Nevada, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

He was the sixth person to plead guilty in the scheme, which involved applying for home equity lines of credit on properties he didn’t own.
