Man Arrested in $525,000 Mortgage Fraud Case

Authorities have arrested a man accused of scamming investors out of $525,000 in a mortgage fraud scheme. So reports the Daily Voice.

prison icon 2071965 640 smallGerrmaioud Chape of Rochelle Park, N.J., provided victims with phony documents to support claims that he had a stake in properties that he actually didn’t own, according to local county prosecutors.

Chape faces charges of theft by deception, theft and forgery.
