Housing Slump Led to 'Scariest Year' of My Life: A Mortgage Broker's Tale

A 32-year-old mortgage broker has gone public about the toll the housing market’s slump has taken on his personal finances and mental health. So reports MarketWatch.

thumb down 1426814 640 150x150Aaron Kovac, an Austin-based mortgage broker with six years of industry experience, told an interviewer, “2022 has been the scariest year of my adult and professional life.”

Kovac, of Good Faith Mortgage, and his wife, who also works in the industry, have cut back their household expenses, but they’re hoping for a better 2023: “We’ve just been holding our breath all year,” Kovac said.
