Homepoint Unveils Plan to Lay Off Hundreds More People

Home Point Capital, the Michigan-based mortgage lender that does business as Homepoint, has revealed a round of layoffs affecting hundreds of employees. So reports The Detroit News.

Homepoint2 150x150Homepoint will cut 217 jobs in two Ann Arbor offices in November, the company disclosed in a state regulatory filing, and a company spokesperson confirmed that an unspecified number of people will be laid off outside of Michigan as well.

Homepoint, which had a staff of roughly 3,000 last month, laid off 10% of its employees in 2021.
