A former mortgage loan originator has received a prison sentence for a mortgage fraud scheme. So reports WICS in Springfield, Ill.
Christopher Schaller, formerly the manager for the Springfield, Illinois office of Diamond Residential Mortgage, was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
A federal prosecutor said the sentence “shows that white-collar defendants who harm customers and steal from their employers and entities like the Veterans Administration will pay a stiff penalty for their actions.”
