Ex-Anaheim Chamber CEO Hit with Mortgage Fraud Charges

Federal prosecutors have charged former Anaheim Chamber of Commerce CEO Todd Ament with defrauding Chase Bank while applying for a mortgage on a $1.5 million home. So reports NBC Los Angeles.

hammer 1537123 1920According to the complaint, Ament allegedly tried to overstate his assets to qualify for a mortgage on the 5,500-square-foot home in Big Bear, Calif.

According to additional court papers, an FBI agent further claimed that Ament and a political consultant were part of a “cabal” that would meet “​​to allegedly exert influence over government operations in Anaheim.”
