Robert “Bob” Morgan has pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy, potentially ending a sweeping mortgage fraud probe against the Rochester, N.Y., developer. So reports the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.
The plea deal would spare Morgan from prison time, but a federal judge still must decide whether to approve the plea at a July 22 sentencing hearing.
Morgan admitted to his role in a conspiracy that involved using inaccurate loan details to get funds from ESL Federal Credit Union to build an apartment building.
