Better.com CEO Apologizes for 'Blundered' Layoff

Better.com CEO Vishal Garg has apologized in an email to employees after receiving criticism for the way he handled the digital mortgage platform’s recent layoff of about 900 people. So reports TechCrunch.com.

Better 200x186“I failed to show the appropriate amount of respect and appreciation for the individuals who were affected and for their contributions to Better,” Garg wrote in the letter, which was leaked by a verified current employee. “I own the decision to do the layoffs, but in communicating it I blundered the execution. In doing so, I embarrassed you.”

Better’s diversity and inclusion team was reportedly affected by the allegations, and sources said that the company’s heads of marketing and public relations have since resigned.
