12 Indicted in $15M Mortgage Fraud and 'Green' Loan Scam

The California Attorney General’s Office has unveiled indictments against 12 people for their roles in an alleged mortgage fraud and “green” loan scheme. So reports the Los Angeles Daily News.

california 160550 1280The six-year scheme allegedly took place across Southern California and involved the theft of about $15 million.

The defendants are charged with 133 counts, among them conspiracy, mortgage fraud and grand theft.
