Zillow Faces Lawsuits After Shuttering iBuying Business

Zillow has been hit with a pair of shareholder lawsuits claiming that the online real estate company misled investors about the strength of its recently scrapped iBuying business. So reports Realty Biz News.

Zillow 200x186The lawsuits cite a September statement from Zillow chief operating officer Jeremy Wacksman on the iBuying business’ purportedly growing appeal and Zillow’s growing confidence that “this is going to be a service really in all-weather markets."

Both lawsuits were filed in Seattle, the first on November 16 and the second on November 19.
