U.S. Housing Sentiment Returns to Near Record Low: Fannie Mae

Americans have gone back to feeling close to their gloomiest ever on record about the housing market, according to Fannie Mae. So reports MortgageOrb.

Fannie Mae2 150x150In February, the Fannie Mae Home Purchase Sentiment Index (HPSI) fell 3.6 points to 58.0, nearing a record low set in October 2022.

Fannie Mae economist Doug Duncan said in a statment that “consumers on both sides of the transaction appear to be feeling cautious about the housing market.”
