Pending Home Sales Rise 1.6% on Low Rates

Contract signings to buy a home rose in August, the third monthly increase of 2019, according to the National Association of Realtors. So reports MarketWatch.

The NAR’s index of pending home sales was up 1.6% for August, following a decline in July.

The increase was another indication that the housing market is finding support from historically low mortgage rates.
