Pending Home Sales Fall for First Time in Four Months

September brought a surprise drop in home purchase agreements as affordability increasingly becomes a challenge for buyers. So reports CNBC.

According to the National Association of Realtors, ending home sales declined 2.2% in September versus August, the first monthly fall in four months.

“The benefits of low interest rates have been completely erased by steep price gains, especially in expensive urban markets," said George Ratiu, senior economist at realtor.com.
