Pending Home Sales Bounce Back, Led By Western Region

Contracts to buy existing U.S. homes rebounded modestly in November 2019 thanks to a leap in activity in the nation’s western region. So reports MarketWatch.

!--more-->The National Association of Realtors said that its pending home sales index rose 1.2% during the month, led by a 5.5% uptick in the NAR’s regional index for the West. Sales had dropped in October after rising each of the previous two months.

“Despite the insufficient level of inventory, pending home contracts still increased in November,” said Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist.
