According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.33% in the week ending April 9, unchanged from the week before.
“There’s a lot of volatility in markets in general,” Realtor.com chief economist Danielle Hale told MarketWatch. “People see that in the stock market, which swings up and down depending on the time of day, and that’s also true in the mortgage market.”
