Mortgage Rates Inch Higher From Record Lows

Long-term mortgage rates have edged upward without straying far from all-time lows. So reports Bloomberg.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 2.93% in the week ending September 4, up two basis points from the prior week.

That’s the third increase in four weeks for the benchmark rate, which scraped a record low of 2.88% early last month.
