Mortgage Rates Fall to Ninth Record Low of 2020

For the ninth time since March, U.S. mortgage borrowers have been enjoying record-low interest rates. So reports CNN.

According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 2.86% in the week ending September 10, the lowest since statistics began almost 50 years ago, while the 15-year averaged 2.37%.

Freddie Mac chief economist Sam Khater cited “a late summer slowdown in the economic recovery.”
