More Homes 'Equity Rich' Than Underwater: ATTOM

U.S. homeowners are more likely to be “equity rich” than underwater. That’s according to a new report by ATTOM Data Solutions.

ore-->In the third quarter, 26.7% of the 54 million mortgaged residential properties in America were equity rich, meaning the total estimated amount of loans secured by those properties was no more than half of their estimated market worth, according to ATTOM.

Over the same period, only 6.7% of mortgaged homes were deemed “seriously underwater,” the report finds.
