MBA Cheers Biden’s Nomination of FHFA Director

The Mortgage Bankers Association has issued a statement applauding President Joe Biden’s recent nomination of Sandra Thompson as director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

Biden smile 5621670 640 280x280“Thompson's in-depth expertise as a regulator and her experience in real-estate finance makes her the perfect choice to lead FHFA,” the MBA said.

Thompson has been serving as acting director of the agency that oversees Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae since June. The MBA recommended that her nomination be quickly confirmed by the Senate.
