Housing Takes Spotlight in Democratic Presidential Race

Democratic presidential candidates have taken up housing policy as a big issue in the 2020 primary campaign. So reports Curbed.

Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Mn.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) are among the candidates to publish housing plans or propose new laws.

To widely varying degrees, all of the candidates would increase funding for the National Housing Trust Fund, a program under the Department of Housing and Urban Development for building or refurbishing affordable homes.
