Homebuyer 'Love Letter' Ban Halted By U.S. Judge in Oregon

Oregon’s ban on “love letters” from would-be homebuyers to sellers goes too far, a federal judge has ruled. So reports The Oregonian.

Love letter animal g0c978326c 640So called love letters are letters from potential home buyers to sellers. U.S. District Court Judge Marco Hernández granted a preliminary injunction blocking the first-in-the-nation ban, ruling that it violated the First Amendment.

Oregon lawmakers passed the ban last year in an effort to prohibit housing discrimination.
