Foreclosures Continue Their 'Slow, Steady Climb Back to Normal'

Foreclosure activity has continued ticking back up from its pandemic lows, according to the latest monthly data from ATTOM. So reports Forbes.com.

AttomForeclosure starts in May rose 1% from April and 185% from May 2021, totaling 30,881 properties with foreclosure filings, according to ATTOM.

“While there’s some volatility in the monthly numbers, foreclosure activity overall is continuing its slow, steady climb back to normal after two years of government intervention led to historically low levels of defaults," Rick Sharga, executive vice president of market intelligence at ATTOM, said in a statement.
