Like in a 'Nightclub,' Commercial Property Investors Line Up to Leave

A number of U.S. commercial real estate’s largest investors have been heading to the exits, looking to cut their losses. So reports Bloomberg.

nightclub dj woman g25acf4670 640Data from index tracker IDR Investment Management shows that a set of property funds for institutional investors had $20 billion in withdrawal requests at the end of 2022.

John Murray, head of global private commercial real estate at Pacific Investment Management Co., told the news service, “It’s like the nightclub where everybody lines up to get in and then lines up to leave when it closes.”
