Commercial Real Estate Financing Gets Warning Signs

A collapse in the markets for commercial mortgage-backed securities and collateralized loan obligations has threatened commercial real estate overall. So reports Commercial Observer.

CRE FinancialData from the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council show that private-label CMBS and CLO issuance tumbled year-over-year by more than two-thirds in September.

Monthly delinquencies, meanwhile, have edged higher after easing in 2022, rising above 4% in July and August.
