Housing Affordability for African-Americans Has Gotten Worse

The typical African-American family is having a harder time finding a home in their price range, according to data from Redfin. So reports USA Today.

The median African-American household could afford only 25% of homes for sale last year, a steep drop from 39% in 2012, according to Redfin.

Every major metro area saw a decline in the share of homes affordable to African-American households between 2012 and 2018, some by 30 percentage points or more.
