Gwen Thrower, a former underwriter at the Utah-based mortgage company who filed the lawsuit as a whistleblower claim, will receive more than $11.5 million as her share of the settlement.
As The Mortgage Leader previously reported, the Trump administration’s Department of Justice had argued the case was too burdensome to pursue, but its effort to dismiss the case was shot down by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
