Weekly Jobless Claims Hit Lowest Since COVID-19

Defying economist predictions, weekly unemployment claims have fallen to their lowest since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. So reports CNBC.

U.S. Department of Labor figures showed 1.186 million jobless claims for the week ending August 1, compared with analyst forecasts of 1.42 million. That marks the lowest weekly claims number since March 14.
