Trump, Biden Diverge on Mortgage Policy Views

Donald Trump and Joe Biden have sharply differing stances on how the U.S. government should oversee the $11 trillion mortgage market. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

The Trump administration, of course, has been working to bring mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac out of government conservatorship, perhaps within a year or two.

Biden would be in less of a rush to privatize Fannie and Freddie and would instead prioritize ways of helping make homes more affordable for more people.
