!--more-->According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate averaged 2.87% in the week ending October 8, down one basis point from the previous week and only one basis point above their record low reached a month earlier.
“The year-long slide in mortgage rates seems to be ending as rates have flattened over the last month and the economic rebound has slowed,” said Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist.
