Marco Lurigio, aka “Demetrio Cardone,” and Sandy Lurigio, aka “Janette Chavez,” recruited buyers to fraudulently obtain mortgage loans for properties on Chicago’s South Side, the indictment claims.

The Luirigios, both of Downers Grove, Ill., face eight counts of financial institution fraud.
