Ex-CEO Fights Mortgage Fraud Charge in Hawaii

The former CEO of a Honolulu-based defense contractor has pleaded not guilty to a federal charge that he submitted a fraudulent mortgage application for his Hawaii home. So reports Honolulu Civil Beat.

 

pacmarMartin Kao, who used to lead Navatek, now known as PacMar, stands accused of digitally adding zeros to brokerage documents to boost his reported wealth.

Kao, formerly a leading businessman and campaign donor, pleaded guilty last year to Paycheck Protection Program fraud charges.
