In February, the Fannie Mae Home Purchase Sentiment Index (HPSI) fell 3.6 points to 58.0, nearing a record low set in October 2022.
Fannie Mae economist Doug Duncan said in a statment that “consumers on both sides of the transaction appear to be feeling cautious about the housing market.”
